And one more down…

Am slowly and steadily getting used to this. I have an idea, I and Noni discuss it a bit and figure out even we might not use it. I still have a hunch feeling that it is a worthy idea, but don’t pursue it anyway. A few days/weeks/months later I read an article about a new company or a product line formed with exactly the same idea. Today morning was no different. It is difficult to start the day feeling like a “Loser” and walk around as if nothing ever happened. But am getting better at this. Surely. Slowly, but surely. ...

This week on tech #2

The last time I went running in Jurong, I was given an RFID tag and later on my timing was published on a website. I had some theories on how they could have done this until I landed this site recently. So if you plan to host a running, then you might want to read this link! And then I came across another link to build a IoT oscilloscope for $25. Reading on, I think more than the scope, I love the idea of getting a $20 board that I can play with. Surely in my to buy list in the next set. ...

Spicing it up a little …

Starting this weekend, I plan to write one post every week. Oh, the one post a day plan is still on – but as you can see it is not quite there yet. But this weekly post is a slightly different idea – one that hopefully will help me connect back to my original intentions. You might be aware of my arduino daily. It is an automatically generated page from paper.li . That’s quite good and quite a few people do like the effort. I do too which is why I created it in the first place. But as I have grown to learn, it lacks some thing. The missing bit, I believe, is the personal touch. ...

Cyclop’s Eye

Just like the last time, I saw another tutorial on pyroelectro. This one created a cyclop’s eye. I was interested in trying this out using my arduino. Again, it slightly departs from the tutorial. You can take a look at the code on github. Leave your suggestions in comments!

LED Game

I came across this tutorial in pyroelectro. I wanted to try it out myself without completing the tutorial. I used a few hints from the tutorial and came up with a working system. This is pretty much the same as the one in tutorial, just that I don’t have the 7-segment display. I implemented using an Arduino UNO and some discrete components. I have a breadboard solution working now and am planning to make a protoboard version as well. My Arduino code is available on github. ...
